Beret Flash Description

A blue shield-shaped embroidered device with a semi-circular base
2 1/4 inches (5.72 cm) in height by 1 7/8 inches (4.76 cm) in width overall,
edged with a 3/8 inch (.96 cm) scarlet border. The beret flash was approved for the 3d Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division on 24 February 2006. It was amended to correct the unit designation on 16 March 2006.


Background Trimming Description

A blue oval shaped embroidered device 1 3/8 inches (3.49 cm) in height by
2 1/4 inches (5.72 cm) in width overall, edged with a 3/8 inch (.96 cm) scarlet
border. The background trimming was approved for the 3d Brigade,
82nd Airborne Division on 24 February 2006. It was amended to
correct the unit designation on 16 March 2006.

A blue shield-shaped embroidered item with a semi-circular base
edged with a 1/4 inch (.64 cm) scarlet border, 2 1/4 inches (5.72cm)
in height by 1 7/8 inches (4.76cm) in width overall.
The beret flash was approved on 8 July 1992.


1st Battalion,
505th Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR)

A blue shield-shaped embroidered item with a semi-circular base
edged with a
3/8 inch (.95 cm) scarlet border notched with a
blue horizontal mark on each side,
2 1/4 inches (5.72cm)
in height by 1 7/8 inches (4.76cm) in width overall.
The beret flash was approved on 8 July 1992.

2nd Battalion,
505th Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR)  
A blue shield-shaped embroidered item with a semi-circular base
edged with a
3/8 inch (.95 cm) scarlet border notched with two
blue horizontal marks on each side,
2 1/4 inches (5.72cm)
 in height by 1 7/8 inches (4.76cm) in width overall.
