Beret Flash Description

A shield-shaped insignia with a semi-circular base, with a 1/8 inch
(.32cm) blue border, 1 7/8 inches (4.76cm) in width and 2 1/2 inches
(6.35cm) in height overall, consisting of a blue background bearing a golden
orange diagonal bar, 3/8 inch in width. The Flash was approved for wear by personnel of the Pathfinder Platoon, 12th Aviation Group on 29 Jul 1985. On 9 May 2001 the flash was redesignated for the Pathfinder Platoon, 12th Aviation Brigade.

Background Trimming Description

An oval-shaped device with a 1/8 inch (.32cm) blue border, 2 1/2 inches
(6.35cm) in height and 1 7/8 inch (4.76cm) in width, consisting of a blue
background bearing a golden orange diagonal bar, 3/8 inch (.95cm) in width.
The Background Trimming was approved for wear by personnel of the Pathfinder Platoon, 12th Aviation Group on 29 Jul 1985. On 9 May 2001 the trim was
 redesignated for the Pathfinder Platoon, 12th Aviation Brigade.

On a blue shield-shaped embroidered device with a semi-circular base 2 1/4 inches (5.72 cm) in height and 1 7/8 inches (4.76 cm) in width overall, displaying a white arrow diagonally with point in upper right and fletching in lower left, all edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) orange border. The beret flash was approved on 25 April 2003.

Background Trimming Description

On a blue oval-shaped embroidered device 1 3/8 inches (3.49 cm) in height and 2 1/4 inches (5.72 cm) in width overall, displaying a white arrow diagonally with point in upper right and fletching in lower left, all edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) orange border. The background trimming was approved on 25 April 2003.

Centered within a shield shaped embroidered item with a semi-circular base
2 1/4 inches (5.72 cm) in height and 1 7/8 inches (4.76 cm) in width ultramarine
blue, another shield shape 1 1/2 inches (3.81 cm) in height and 1 3/16 inches
(3.02 cm) wide having a 1/32 inch (.08 cm) border golden orange and charged
with a golden orange lightning flash running from upper right to lower left point downward all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) golden orange border.
The beret flash was approved on 17 November 2003. 

 

Background Trimming Description

Centered within an oval shaped embroidered item ultramarine blue with a 1/8 inch
(.32 cm) golden orange border 1 3/8 inches (3.49 cm) in height and 2 1/4 inches
(5.72 cm) in width another oval shape with a 1/32 inch (.08 cm) border
1 1/2 inches (3.81 cm) wide by 3/4 inch (1.91 cm) high having a golden orange
lightning flash running from right to lower left point downward.
The background trimming was approved on 17 November 2003.

Beret Flash Description

On a shield-shaped embroidered item with a semi-circular base edged with a
1/8 inch (.32cm) blue border and divided diagonally from upper right to lower
left black over white, a golden orange lightning flash on the diagonal;
2 1/4 inches (5.72cm) in height by 1 7/8 inches (4.76cm) in width overall. The beret flash was originally approved on 8 Jul 1992. It was cancelled on 30 Jun 1995.
On 13 Jul 2000 the flash was reinstated.


Background Trimming Description

On an oval-shaped embroidered item edged with a 1/8 inch (.32cm) blue border and divided diagonally from upper right to lower left, black over white a gold orange lightning flash on the diagonal 2 1/4 inches (5.72cm) in width by 1 3/8 inches (3.49cm) in height overall. The background trimming was originally approved on 8 Jul 1992. It was cancelled on 30 Jun 1995. On 13 Jul 2000 the trimming was reinstated.

base edged with a 1/8 inch (.32cm) orange border, 1 7/8 inches (4.76cm) in
width and 2 1/4 inches (5.72cm) in height, bearing three 1/8 inch (.32cm)
diagonal stripes, green, black and white from upper right to lower left. The beret
flash was originally approved for the 160th Special Operations Aviation Group (Airborne) approved on 26 Mar 1987. It was redesignated for the
160th Aviation Group (Special Operations) (Airborne) on 15 Oct 1993.

Background Trimming Description

An ultramarine blue oval shaped patch with a 1/8 inch (.32cm) orange border,
1 3/8 inches (3.49cm) in height and 2 1/4 inches (5.72cm) in width overall,
bearing three 1/8 inch (.32cm) diagonal stripes, green, black and white from upper
right to lower left. The background trim was originally approved for the 160th
Special Operations Aviation Group (Airborne) on 26 Mar 1987. It was redesignated
for the 160th Aviation Group (Special Operations) (Airborne) on 15 May 1993.
