Beret Flash Description

On a blue shield-shaped embroidered item with a semi-circular base and edged with a
1/8 inch (.32cm) yellow border, 2 1/4 inches (5.72cm) in height and 1 7/8 inches
(4.76cm) in width overall; a yellow lozenge throughout.
The beret flash was approved on 6 Apr 1995.

Background Trimming Description

On a blue oval-shaped embroidered item edged with a 1/8 inch
(.32cm) yellow border; 1 3/8 inches (3.49cm) in height and
2 1/4 inches (5.72cm) in width overall; a yellow lozenge throughout.
The background trimming was approved on 6 Apr 1995.

Beret Flash Description

On a shield-shaped embroidered item with a semi-circular base 2 1/4 inches (5.72 cm) in height and 1 7/8 inches (4.76 cm) in width overall, divided in half diagonally from upper right to lower left, blue over yellow and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border, three 1/8 inch (.32 cm) diagonal bands from upper right to lower left, green over white over scarlet. The beret flash was originally approved for the Joint Readiness Training Center on 14 May 1991. It was redesignated for the Joint Readiness Training Center Operations Group and Headquarters on 6 February 2004. The flash was redesignated for Headquarters Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk and Joint Readiness Training Center Operations Group on 2 March 2004. It was amended to correct the unit designation on 11 March 2004.
